Wasn’t able to post one of these last week, but that may be a good thing because I actually didn’t get to do much gaming. But now I have gotten a few more play sessions in and have a bit more to talk about!
Video Games:
-Tomb Raider – Finished it! What a great game! It was a hard game to put down. I was disappointed by its post-game content though. Now that I’ve beaten it I’ll be working on a full review.
-Kingdom Hearts II – Since I beat Tomb Raider, it was time to return my quest through Kingdom Hearts! I had been stuck on the last optional boss, Lingering Will. It took me about two hours of trying, but I finally was able to beat him! Unfortunately, I thought this was the last thing I would have to do to unlock the final secret movie… but since I played on standard, I apparently have to do all the gummi ship missions… I hate gummi ships… Guess I’m not 100% completing this one for a while!
-Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep – In light of the looming gummi ship missions, I decided it was best to move on to the next title in the series! I’ll return to KHII later, but for now I am moving on to the first entry in the series I have not actually played before! Really enjoying it so far!
Board Games
–Friday – One of my favorite things to do on my day off is play a solo game. Friday is probably my favorite solo only game. It’s a brilliant little design that’s punishing as hell.
–Mint Works – Still so easy to get to the table and still the best filler for my wife and I. She kicked my ass though…
–Harry Potter: Hogwarts Battle – We had some friends over last night to play a game and got Harry Potter to the table. We played through the first game. For my money this is one of the best gateway games. It’s a great way to get people into the hobby and have a great evening with friends.
